Safety Officer EMT

Must have weekend availability. Flexibility is required to meet departmental needs.

Schedule

Full-time, 40-hour workweek with two days off. Mid shift (3 pm – 11 pm).

Pay

Pay range: $23.50 – $25.00 per hour. Annual bonus and yearly increases.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to all emergency situations in the community, practicing proper First Responder protocols and life-safety policies and procedures
• Assist the Safety Director with random mock testing and training of staff to ensure emergency preparedness
• Conduct scheduled internal and external rounds across the community to maintain a secure environment for residents, employees, and property
• Carry a medical bag and A.E.D. at all times while making rounds
• Monitor and receive all persons entering the community at the Safety Kiosk, providing courteous assistance to residents, visitors, staff, and vendors
• Perform daily door monitoring checks and maintain departmental emergency equipment and supplies
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, reporting discrepancies and unsafe conditions to the Safety Director
• Maintain regular communication with other Safety personnel during shifts
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service and hospitality to all internal and external customers at all times
• Respond to and document customer complaints professionally

Requirements

• California State EMT certification
• Current CPR with AED certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Eighteen years of age or older
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
