Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Responsible for promoting positive health and maintaining a safe working environment in the project site.
• Overseeing the activities of the project site to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and company policies.
• Creating, enacting, and updating job safety programs that cover both government health and safety regulations and company standards for safety.
• Maintaining injury/illness mishap data, analyzing reports, and initiating actions to improve safety programs.
• Implementing preventative measures, maintaining building safety standards, creating and implementing safety policies, and training in appropriate fire safety procedures.
• Facilitating compliance with construction occupational health and safety (COSH) guidelines.
• Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations.

Requirements

• Construction background with at least moderate experience on vertical developments (mid-high rise buildings).
• COSH Training
• 48 hours advanced/specialized training (LCM, SPA, TOT, IH, Fire Safety)
• 2 years experience in OSH
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to be assigned in Binan, Laguna
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering

Skills

• Accredited DOLE OSH Practitioner (advantage but not required)
