Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a proactive safety management system.
  • Maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on safety matters.
  • Organize and perform safety orientations.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Investigate accidents and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborate on project-specific safety plans.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance.
  • Attend and represent the company in safety meetings.
  • Perform informal daily site assessments.
  • Support OSHA inspections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications or professional designations (e.g., CSP, CHST).
  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager in construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Minimum OSHA 30 certification.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety programs.
  • Ability to conduct safety training and investigations.
  • Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
