Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a proactive safety management system.
- Maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on safety matters.
- Organize and perform safety orientations.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Investigate accidents and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate on project-specific safety plans.
- Monitor subcontractor safety performance.
- Attend and represent the company in safety meetings.
- Perform informal daily site assessments.
- Support OSHA inspections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
- Relevant certifications or professional designations (e.g., CSP, CHST).
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager in construction.
- Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Minimum OSHA 30 certification.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety programs.
- Ability to conduct safety training and investigations.
- Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
