Safety Manager

About the role

The Safety Manager will oversee all environmental health and safety programs at our Kearny, NJ location. This includes ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, conducting regular safety audits, and implementing safety training programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all environmental health and safety programs
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct regular safety audits
• Implement and update safety training programs
• Respond to and investigate workplace accidents and incidents
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workplace safety

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements
• Experience with risk assessment and management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement
• Experience in developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, vendors, and external partners

Skills

• Strong knowledge of environmental health and safety principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to use AI tools for data analysis and decision-making

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience.
