Safety Manager

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensures operations comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Builds capability of site resources to support EHS programs.
• Administers safety programs to foster employee participation.
• Develops and conducts hazard analyses for new products and processes.
• Maintains hazard analysis and risk assessment records.
• Coordinates safety audit processes.
• Prepares and submits safety reports.
• Supports coordination with regulatory agencies and vendors.
• Drives incident investigation process and corrective action plans.
• Supports contractor safety program oversight.
• Learns and communicates safety rules and regulations.
• Manages safety performance metrics.
• Partners with operations leadership for safety improvements.
• Supports emergency response and incident response coordination.
• Updates safety policies as needed.
• Facilitates and supports safety committees.
• Trains and coaches staff on safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees facility security processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Safety related field.
• Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for OSHA and PSM programs.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Able to develop policies and recognize hazards.
• Strong training and coaching skills.
• Proficient with various computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
