About the role
The Safety Manager will oversee all aspects of workplace safety within the organization, conducting audits, providing training, and evaluating risks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Evaluate workplace hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Manage and conduct personal exposure sampling for industrial hygiene.
- Identify potential exposures and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with employees, management, and regulatory bodies.
- Work flexible hours, including third shifts.
Requirements
- A four-year degree in Safety and Health or equivalent education.
- At least ten (10) years of safety experience or more than fifteen (15) years in building construction.
- A thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations.
- Able to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
- At least one (1) recognized safety-related certification, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), etc., highly desirable.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including third shifts.
