About the role
The safety manager ensures employees comply with safety programs guiding the transportation industry. They partner with the operations team to ensure safe performance of duties and conduct routine audits.
Responsibilities
- Partner with operations team to ensure safe performance of duties
- Conduct routine safety audits
- Carry out safety training programs for company employees
- Develop processes for collecting accident data
- Implement initiatives to reduce accidents and hazards
- Direct and supervise safety guidelines and procedures
- Investigate accidents to determine causes
- Inspect and monitor employee daily operations
- Inspect and check organization’s equipment and machinery
- Report safety adjustments to top management
Qualifications
- Three (3) years of safety management experience
- One (1) year of supervisor experience
- College Degree in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Business Management, Business Administration or equivalent
- Driver's License
Pay
$55,000 annually
