Responsibilities

• Act as an onsite safety liaison with a primary focus in construction and fire safety.
• Conduct job site inspections to monitor conformance with construction and fire safety standards.
• Coordinate with the project management team to improve safety on the jobsite.
• Inspect sites to ensure conditions meet Federal, state, and local standards; document unsafe conditions.
• Provide comprehensive accident investigations, including interviews, photographs, and written reports.
• Coordinate with clients and participate in loss control inspections with insurance brokers and/or carrier representatives.
• Accompany regulatory officials on site inspections.
• Coordinate onsite safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Perform new worker orientations.
• May supervise onsite staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering or safety and health consulting.
• Registration or designation in one or more of the following: Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, or Professional Engineer.
• Prior experience in profit and loss management for consulting.
