Safety Manager
About the role
Exceed Safety is a nationwide full spectrum consulting firm based in NC. We provide advanced consultants and use cutting edge technology and methods of risk management. We are not a staffing company! Our client is seeking a Safety Manager to manage the EHS program at the field level for 5 branches in the NC, SC and VA area. This would include documented site visits, training and coaching of the field staff. The candidate must possess exemplary communication skills - both oral and written, be vibrant, optimistic, energetic and positive, want to make things happen, be a team player that can work with the leadership team, all personnel, and interact well with clients, and must not only be able to recognize hazards but be able to find and implement solutions. The role reports to the Safety Director.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a safety related field or 7 years’ experience as a full‑time Safety Professional with a certification such as CHST
- Experience within the Construction Industry is required
- FA/CPR/AED certified
- OSHA 30‑hour for construction
- Valid Driver’s License and MVR check
- Criminal Justice Background Check (state and federal)
- Drug Test (10‑panel)
- E‑Verify
- Preferably located in the Greensboro, NC area
- Experience within General Industry (plus)
- OSHA 500 certification (plus)
- Authorized OSHA instructor for Construction (plus)
- HVAC experience (plus)
- CPR instructor certification (plus)
