Safety Manager

About the role

The Safety Manager at DeAngelis Diamond will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for all construction workers. Reporting to the Director of Health and Safety, this position involves conducting safety inspections, providing guidance to superintendents, and training employees to foster a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular documented safety inspections and notes positive safety items and any safety infractions.
• Works with onsite Superintendents to provide guidance and correct any safety infractions.
• Trains and monitors onsite DeAngelis Diamond employees to ensure a safe workplace for all construction workers.
• Maintains a positive safety culture by meeting with and conducting monthly training sessions with the DeAngelis Diamond onsite team.
• Upholds company safety policies on assigned projects.
• Assists with projects in other Florida divisions as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a construction Safety Manager or equivalent experience growing through DeAngelis Diamond's career path.
• Minimum OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training; OSHA 500/510 desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Box, DocuSign, Textura, and Bluebeam.
• Strong personal integrity and high ethical standards.
• Able to function in a positive, high-energy, and collaborative environment.
