About the role
The Safety Manager at DeAngelis Diamond is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on construction sites. They work closely with the Director of Field Operations and Superintendents to maintain high safety standards and train employees to foster a positive safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Conducts regular safety inspections and documents positive safety practices and infractions.
- Trains and monitors DeAngelis Diamond employees to ensure they lead by example in safety.
- Maintains company safety policies and provides guidance to address safety issues.
- Meets with the DeAngelis Diamond team monthly to conduct training sessions.
- Assists with projects across different Florida divisions as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a construction Safety Manager or equivalent experience growing through DeAngelis Diamond's career path.
- Minimum OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training; OSHA 500/510 preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Box, DocuSign, Textura, and Bluebeam.
- Passionate about learning and applying new technologies, concepts, and innovative solutions.
