About the role
We are seeking a Safety Manager to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs within a construction-focused data center environment. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical standards while promoting a proactive safety culture across project sites.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement site-specific safety programs in compliance with OSHA, FDA, and industry standards
- Create and update safety plans aligned with project phases and regulatory requirements
- Conduct risk assessments related to chemical handling, cleanroom construction, and specialized equipment
- Ensure contractors and subcontractors follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Perform routine site inspections and audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices
- Lead investigations for incidents, near-misses, and violations; implement corrective actions
- Track and verify corrective actions for continuous safety improvement
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and QA teams to integrate safety into all project phases
- Support safety planning for cleanroom construction and equipment installation
- Promote a strong safety culture through communication and engagement
- Identify and recommend improvements to safety processes and procedures
Requirements
- 0–2 years of safety experience in construction or a related environment
- OSHA 30 certification
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Experience conducting risk assessments and site inspections
- Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in documentation and recordkeeping
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field
- Experience in complex environments (data centers, cleanrooms, or specialized facilities)
- Familiarity with chemical handling and cleanroom safety protocols
- Preferred: Additional certifications (OSHA 10, OSHA 510), experience delivering safety training programs, knowledge of data center construction and operations
