General Summary

The position supports the administration of the Company’s Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) and related regulations, ensuring safety and health of employees.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Support with Company team members, owner representatives, regulatory agencies, clinics, medical/testing facilities to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Promote engagement with the company safety program and local incident prevention efforts to foster involvement and reduce at-risk behaviors.
  • Aid in the implementation of safety-related programs to meet strategic goals.
  • Perform and document inspections, observations, and audits to reduce incidents and ensure health and well-being of employees.
  • Aid in the preparation and performance of safety meetings and training programs to improve knowledge and understanding of hazards and risks.
  • Aid in the investigation and communication of near misses, incidents, and claims to protect Company interests.
  • Aid in the development and review of job hazard analyses to ensure successful completion of work through hazard identification and control measure implementation.
  • Avoid and mitigate potential safety issues during inspections and investigations.
  • Conduct periodic checks to ensure plans, corrective actions, and deficiencies are corrected and documented in a timely manner.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in construction or applicable industry with safety-related responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal safety and health regulations.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Active CHST certificate preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CoPilot).
  • Strong organizational, follow-through, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in high-production environments and respond swiftly.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly talk and hear.
  • Frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Must have the ability to work at heights, in enclosed or confined spaces, and climb stairs and ladders in a construction/plant environment.
  • Close vision, and ability to adjust focus required.

Base Salary Range: $88,170.00 - $132,255.00. Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
