About the Role

As a Safety Compliance Specialist in the Safety Training Department, you will facilitate various CPR/First Aid and OSHA Safety classes at client locations. This role involves driving a company-provided vehicle, scheduling and selling training services, and maintaining training equipment. You will receive on-the-job training and ongoing cross-training to enhance performance and career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide various Safety Training classes to customers, including CPR/First Aid, Forklift Safety, Fire Extinguisher Safety, and other OSHA-related courses.
  • Drive a company-provided vehicle to and from customer locations daily.
  • Contact customers by phone and email to schedule training sessions.
  • Sell Safety Training services and products to customers and prospects via phone and email.
  • Clean and maintain all equipment, including the van and training materials.
  • Complete required reporting and use electronic devices (e.g., iPad) to bill customers and document training details.
  • Meet with the training center manager to discuss goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Work with internal resources to expand the Safety Training base.
  • Complete ongoing continuing education to increase Safety Training offerings and knowledge.
  • Order supplies as needed.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers to maintain OSHA compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Safety Instructor providing CPR/First Aid, Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, Fire Safety, and other common OSHA classes is highly preferred.
  • Current AHA certification to be an instructor in CPR/AED/First Aid and BLS.
  • Credentialing as required by state law for courses taught or administered is preferred.
  • Experience in sales and upselling additional safety-related products and services is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate course material clearly and effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to teach effectively in an adult learning environment.
  • Ability to travel within the designated territory.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external scheduling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at certain times.

Schedule

Standard 5-day work week with two days off per week. Up to 40 hours per week available.
