About the role
The Safety Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and policies. This position supports the organization by conducting safety audits, training activities, and assisting in the implementation of safety programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve safety and health programs
- Identify and address hazardous conditions
- Advise on safety objectives and program integration
- Support safety programs at multiple locations
- Conduct EHS audits
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage online EHS tracking system
- Control and manage workplace hazards
- Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions
- Train and coordinate emergency response
- Stay updated on safety regulations
- Work independently and ethically
Requirements
- ITAR compliance requirement as a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety or Safety and Environmental Management
- 3+ years’ experience in safety, health, and environment
- Working knowledge of Federal OSHA and EPA regulations
- Experience in ISO 14001 and/or 18001
- Extensive training experience
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act independently
- Current driver's license
- Travel up to 50%
- Effective communication and computer skills

- Physical demands including sitting, bending, pulling, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 35 pounds, and exposure to various environmental conditions
- Cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
