Safety Associate

Description

The Safety Associate will support the development and continuous improvement of programs and systems that promote environmental, health, and safety excellence. They will assist the Multi-Site Safety Manager in accident investigations, regulatory compliance, and safety training.

Requirements

• Preferred experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
• HS or Diploma preferred, Associate/bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• 3-5 years in similar roles in manufacturing, production, industrial environment
• AED/CPR/First Aid certification a plus
• Accident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Audit, Training, DOT Compliance, Forklift Certifications, OSHA 30+ experience preferred
• Bilingual a plus

Skills

• Attention to detail and capability to analyze data and make sound conclusions
• Strong aptitude for organization, prioritization, and managing multiple tasks at the same time
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to conduct Monthly Safety Training meetings with all shifts as required
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Physical Requirements

• Position requires regular keyboarding, sitting, standing, and walking
• Exposure to environmental noises and hazards
• Use of proper personal protection equipment as required
