Safety Assistant PRN (Days and Nights)
Schedule
- 12 Hour Shifts (Days and Nights Available: Days 7am-7pm or Nights 7pm-7am)
Job Description
Maintains patient records and ensures accurate documentation.
Schedules appointments and coordinates communication between medical staff and patients.
Schedules billing and insurance claims.
Maintains office supplies and ensures the office is well-stocked.
Greets patients and provides information as needed.
Answers phones and routes calls appropriately.
Prepares and organizes patient charts prior to visits.
Collaborates with other departments to facilitate patient care.
Supports the healthcare team with administrative tasks.
Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
Assists with the admission and discharge process.
Checks patients, staff, and visitors for COVID-19 symptoms and ensures adherence to safety protocols.
Handles other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Accurate typing skills
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft word and excel documents
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Exceptional customer service
- Self-confidence to restrict access to unapproved and/or non-compliant individuals
- Personal responsibility to escalate and communicate issues and concerns to facility
- Leadership
- Accurate use of temporal thermometer
- Completed mandatory constant observer education in electronic training ALN within 90 days of hire
Education and Experience
- High School Grad or Equiv
- 1+ year of unit secretary experience (preferred)
