Safety and Security Associate - Emancipation
Your Role In Action
Perform safety and security patrols which include interior and exterior checks of all facilities on site to provide maximum safety coverage.
Community engagement with staff, “persons served”, and visitors.
Respond to non-police emergency calls to include (but not limited to) fire & security alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous material spills and leaks, pedestrian, or vehicular traffic control on property.
Complete reports/documentation to include (but not limited to) incident reports, vendor logs, weekly site safety inspections, and any others as they are needed.
Perform weekly site safety inspections to include (but not limited to) the checking of fire equipment condition, locks and alarm devices, and any other potential hazards.
Respond to conflicts or confrontations between agency staff, visitors, individuals served, or other persons at assigned site.
Serves individuals by answering questions and providing directions to proper building or office.
Document & report suspicious activity.
Enhances organization by analyzing operating practices; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Attends all training courses and meetings as directed.
Provides walking escort as requested.
Responsible for the opening/closing of a clinic to ensure maximum security.
Use of two-way radios to communicate with other staff on-site.
Maintain attendance with your designated shift established by the Supervisor and communicate in the event this cannot be met.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or General Education diploma.
Experience 1 year of customer service experience required.
Customer service experience in a healthcare or educational environment preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Other Key Qualifications
TxDPS Non-Commissioned Security Officer License a plus.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in interacting with internal/external customers.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a large region.
Ability to interact with staff and consumers with a high degree of professionalism.
Ability to multi-task and accommodate high volume.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts to accurately report data.
Demonstrates Computer Skills (Windows and Microsoft Suite) Outlook, Excel, Word processing program and HR systems.
