About the role

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It involves Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) initiatives across Blue Origin's entire mission set.
  • Develop S&OP methodologies, processes, training, tools, and governance.
  • Create, design, develop, and support the execution of an Enterprise Program Management Operating System across Blue Origin programs.
  • Build foundational program and product management and business optimization tools into our scaling organization.
  • Liaise between Business Unit program management offices, program managers, IPT leads, finance business partners, and data analytics team.
  • Create, document, and implement common procedures and practices that can be applied at an enterprise level, ensuring adherence to corporate and business unit standards.
  • Influence development and incorporation of value-added processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate, design, train, and communicate S&OP processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Serve as a change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
  • Work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, developing products/tools, establishing frameworks, and setting up processes and training to improve enterprise planning.
  • Directly impact the history of space exploration and positively impact safe human spaceflight.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S./B.A. degree in engineering, business, or other technical field.
  • Demonstrated ability building trust and effective working relationships at all levels that improve team performance and deliver results.
  • Previous proven experience in Operations, Manufacturing, or Master Scheduling.
  • Experience with demand planning, capacity planning, logic-linked scheduling, change control management, cost-account management, risk management, and performance management.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with an overall execution orientation and high attention to detail.
  • Extensive working knowledge on the fundamentals of program management principals and disciplines, sales, operations, and supply chain, along with industry best practices.
  • Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to get things done.
  • Promotes collaboration with stakeholders and influences development and incorporation of value-added processes and best practices.
  • Prior track record as a successful change agent.
  • Strong technical software skills (AI, Tableau, Automation, Scheduling tools).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of related program/product management experience.
  • Desired Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
  • SIOP process major change or new implementation experience.
  • Strong familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with IMP/IMS, risk management, configuration management, requirements management processes.
  • Experience across multiple portions of the program and product development life cycle.
  • Experience with spaceflight or aircraft development programs.
  • Experience with milestone-driven logic-linked scheduling and cost management tools and techniques (EVM experience a plus).
