About the Role
We are a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses. This position operates within a manufacturing environment, focusing on Distribution and Inventory, and requires regular attendance with availability for overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Distribution:
- Frame Receiving: Match and verify incoming frames to work orders.
- Frame Tracing: Remove lenses from frames, operate tracing machines, mark lenses for axis orientation, and calibrate tracing machines.
- Frame Management: Match frames and lenses to ensure timely launch and prioritization of product.
- Shipping: Scan trays to prepare invoices, match invoices numerically to tray numbers, wrap finished jobs while sorting numerically by account number, and close boxes with appropriate shipping labels.
- Inventory:
- Lens Receiving: Place lenses in correct inventory locations and rotate stock.
- Lens Pick: Pick appropriate lenses from shelves and verify correctness using work tickets.
- Lens Ordering: Manage lenses, create orders for suppliers, and assist customer service with lens availability.
- Outsourcing: Perform steps to send or receive lens orders within the EssilorLuxottica lab network.
Requirements
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, understanding decimal numerical sequencing, and comparing number/letter sequences.
- Requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Capable of coordinated hand and finger use for grasping, transferring small items, fine manipulation, and bilateral reach.
- Ability to plan, organize, multitask, prioritize, and exercise good judgment.
- Able to stand in one place for 8 or more hours per day.
- Capable of performing activities involving repetitive motions.
Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous related experience and/or training (preferred).
