About the role
Full-time Director of Geriatrics position at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC) in Lakewood, NJ, overseeing inpatient and outpatient geriatric services within the James and Sharon Maida Geriatrics Institute, which includes a state‑of‑the‑art Geriatric Emergency Medicine (GEM) Unit and an Acute Care for Elders Unit. The campus offers private rooms on all inpatient units, a Medical/Surgical Behavioral Specialty Unit, and outpatient rehabilitation services in oncology, cardiac, pulmonary, and physical/occupational therapy. The role provides clinical and operational leadership for geriatric teams across both MMCSC and Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) in Long Branch.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational leadership for geriatric services across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Lead an experienced team of senior care professionals, supported by a dedicated scheduler and CCT technician.
- Oversee geriatric teams at both MMCSC and MMC (Long Branch).
- Ensure excellence in clinical care, clinical education, and service.
Requirements
- Board‑certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Medicine.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Proven commitment to excellence in clinical care, clinical education, and service.

Pay
Anticipated salary range: $250,000 to $400,000 per year, plus a quality bonus. Total compensation varies based on educational background, skills, and professional experience.
