About the Role
Optimum RV is a premier RV dealership committed to providing quality service and a wide selection of recreational vehicles. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated RV Service Technician to join our service team and ensure our customers' RVs are maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
Dealership Location: 3045 North Service Road, Moore, OK 73160
Responsibilities
Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on a variety of recreational vehicles. The primary duties will include:
- Performing inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure RVs meet quality and safety standards before delivery to customers.
- Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor time, in the dealership's service management system.
- Communicating with service advisors and customers to provide detailed explanations of repairs and maintenance work.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and technical bulletins.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
- Willing to learn all aspects of RV repair including house repairs.
- Current certification (RVIA/RVDA/RVTI) OR interest in completing online training courses for RVIA certification.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; RV experience preferred.
- RVIA/RVDA certification or other relevant industry certifications (preferred).
- Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and software (preferred).
- Familiarity with warranty repair processes and documentation (preferred).
