About the role
The Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) is seeking a Business Project Manager to lead the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Project. This initiative aims to shape the future of care across Vermont by expanding Long Term Acute Care (LNA) training and increasing nursing home capacity for ventilator and dialysis services.
Responsibilities
- Engage extensively with nursing homes and key partners
- Lead and manage complex projects from planning through implementation
- Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting efforts
- Collaborate across agencies to drive progress and alignment
- Supervise a grants manager
- Contribute to meaningful system-level improvements in long-term care

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years or more of experience where the primary role was project management
- Associate's degree AND six (6) years or more of experience where the primary role was project management
- High School diploma or equivalent AND eight (8) years or more of experience where the primary role was project management
Skills
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with state grants and nursing homes
- Ability to manage complex projects
