About the role
Responsible for weighing chemicals and raw materials for use in the manufacture of finished goods. Prepares compound for molding or extruding operations. Blends materials on rubber mills.
Responsibilities
- Weigh out raw materials following a formula sheet.
- Prepare molding preforms using a clicker machine or scissors to prescribed shape and weight.
- Facilitate the monthly RCOMP cycle count and year-end RCHEM/RCOMP inventories.
- Retrieve and enter data accurately into the ERP system.
- Visually inspect compound for defects and consistency.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to drive positive results and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with at least five years of related experience or training.
- Ability to read and understand documents and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in calculating proportions, percentages, weight, volume, and other basic math.
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret various instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule).

- Forklift Safety Training and Certification
- Hazardous Communications Training
Physical Demands
- Regular use of hands, fingers, and arms; ability to talk and hear.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; team lift or equipment required for items over 50 lbs.
- Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
- Loud noise levels.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
