RT: Registered Respiratory Therapist

About the role

As the largest health care system in North Louisiana, Willis Knighton Health offers a multitude of experiences for respiratory therapists. In addition to general floor care, our respiratory therapists treat patients in the Emergency Department, CCU, ICU, PACU, PICU, and NICU (Level III). Future opportunities in our department may include Bronchoscopy Lab, Pulmonary Function Lab, Hyperbaric and Wound Care Clinic and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of patients in various departments including Emergency Department, CCU, ICU, PACU, PICU, and NICU (Level III).
• Participation on the ECMO Team for RRTs with at least 6 months of CCU experience.
• Training and involvement in specialized units such as Bronchoscopy Lab, Pulmonary Function Lab, Hyperbaric and Wound Care Clinic, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
• Membership in the ground and air transport call team for NICU-trained RRTs.

Requirements

• Licensure from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners is required for employment.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of CCU experience preferred for consideration on the ECMO Team.
• Training and experience in NICU preferred for membership in the ground and air transport call team.
