RT, MT, PT Lvl 2 Technician

Main Duties

• Operates tools and equipment to accomplish job assignments and client requirements
• Inspects and interprets readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest
• Applies appropriate criteria in accordance with applicable specifications
• Sets up and calibrates all equipment used, interprets, evaluates, and documents results through formal reports
• Safely operates company vehicles and strictly adheres to company safety regulations

Requirements

• Thoroughly familiar with the scope and methods of NDT being used
• Performs on-the-job training and guidance of Assistant Technicians

Pay

Pay range for this position is USD $38 to $45 per hour.

Knowledge And Skills

• Ability to be certified in accordance with Aegeus written practice in the following methods: RT, MT, PT Lvl 2
• Ability to set up and standardize equipment, conduct ss, interpret and evaluate findings in compliance with required specifications, standards and or customer specifications
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the techniques and method in which are to be employed
• Be capable of developing written work instructions from approved general procedures

Education And Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical Background in NDT methods and techniques preferred
• Minimum of 3+ years of NDT experience with full documentation of prior training, experience and certification is required

Working Conditions

• The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions in temperature extremes and inclement weather
• Might occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces
• The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud
• Overtime required during the week and weekend with work volume
• Ability to travel when required, nationally, up to 35% of the time
