RPTA - Registered Physical Therapy Assistant (Per Diem Opportunity)

Registered Physical Therapist Assistant position supporting program participants with evaluations, treatment planning, and adaptive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ongoing evaluations and assessments of program participants.
• Plan and implement appropriate treatment and goals based on evaluations.
• Educate individuals and team members on evaluation findings, treatment plans, and therapeutic methods.
• Train team members on injury prevention, range of motion, positioning, and other relevant topics.
• Complete all required documentation according to program regulations.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding Individual Program Plans (IPP) and Individual Education Plans (IEP).
• Assist with departmental maintenance and supply management.
• Participate in treatment team activities, including meetings, trainings, and committees.
• Orient students, volunteers, and new therapists to the program.
• Provide assessment, fabrication, modification, and repair of splints and adaptive equipment.

Requirements

• A.A.S. Degree or High School Diploma plus Specialized Trade Certificate in Physical Therapy.
• Up to one year of experience.
• Ability to lift and assist individuals in care and meet physical job requirements.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License.
