About the role

Delivery of the sport and physical activity strategy is through UoM Sport, based primarily at the Armitage Sports Centre in Fallowfield and in Manchester University Students’ Union on Oxford Road. Activities take place across the city, utilising various facilities to support the community in being active.
The post holder will deliver quality coaching, management, organising, delivering, and monitoring performance for the University of Manchester’s Rowing Club, improving their performance in British Rowing and British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitions. This role is responsible for the coaching and management of performance-level athletes within the club.
UoM Sport is looking for outgoing and highly motivated individuals. The person specification below outlines the essential and desirable attributes required for the post. Covering letters should demonstrate how the applicant meets each of these attributes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality coaching to the University of Manchester’s Rowing Club.
- Manage, organise, and monitor performance of the club’s athletes.
- Improve the club’s performance in British Rowing and BUCS competitions.
- Oversee the coaching and management of performance-level athletes.
