About the role

Westport Properties is seeking dependable, skilled Maintenance Technicians to join their growing Roving Maintenance Team. Ideal candidates possess general maintenance skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, painting, and appliance repair. The position involves traveling between properties to handle maintenance and repairs, working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Tackle jobs like fixing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors, flooring, landscaping, and more
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to keep everything running smoothly
  • Help prep units for new residents and handle regular upkeep for existing ones
  • Stay on-call occasionally (~every other week)
  • Keep maintenance logs and support snow removal during the winter months

Requirements

  • General maintenance skills: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, painting, appliance repair
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Computer knowledge (typing, spelling, able to use tablets for work orders and communication)
  • EPA certification preferred or willing to obtain. (Exam fee reimbursement available.)
  • HVAC certification preferred or willing to obtain
  • Able to lift, shovel and/or plow snow, and get around multiple properties

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in maintenance and repair work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Benefits

  • Pay: $25 - $32/hour based on experience
  • Monthly bonuses based on occupancy: Up to ~$450 (normally around $200-$300)
  • Tool reimbursement: $10 per paycheck ($260/year)

Competitive pay range $25 - $32/hr. based on experience, monthly bonuses, and tool reimbursements
