About the role

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including computer scientists, social scientists, and journalists.

• Engage with stakeholders, including policymakers, media organizations, and civil society groups.
• Present research at national and international conferences, workshops, and public events.
• Support the development of media literacy programs and public deliberation initiatives.
• Mentor junior researchers, PhD students, and interns.

Requirements

• PhD (or near completion) in a relevant field, such as media studies, political science, sociology, communication studies, or digital humanities.
• Proven track record of publishing research in peer-reviewed journals or equivalent outlets.
• Experience with qualitative, quantitative, or computational research methods (e.g., content analysis, surveys, network analysis, or machine learning).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Interest in public engagement, policy impact, or applied research.

Skills

• Familiarity with research on disinformation, media pluralism, digital journalism, or extremism.
