Route Services Technician - Lansing, MI

Duties

• Perform field service calls to diagnose and repair equipment and systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on equipment and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using a voltmeter and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Stay updated with product knowledge and technical training to remain proficient in the field.
• Provide exceptional customer service, communicating clearly and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other team members to resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; a technical degree or certification preferred.
• Experience in the field of service technician or a related field.
• A strong understanding of mechanical knowledge and computer networking principles.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and low-voltage systems.
• The ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
• Familiarity with hand tools and the ability to use them effectively.
• A service technician certification or equivalent experience.
• The ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
