Route Service Driver Manager

About the role

The Route Service Manager oversees operations within an assigned territory, providing direct supervision to route service representatives. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service, maintaining a strong safety culture, and ensuring customer satisfaction while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety-first culture through training, briefings, and policy enforcement.
• Manage Non-CDL Drivers, including onboarding, performance management, and operational support.
• Step in as needed to maintain efficient route operations and ensure smooth service.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer concerns and improve service.
• Conduct ride-alongs, provide coaching, and remove operational barriers to ensure success.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and improve route sequencing for efficiency.
• Oversee truck maintenance and manage delivery/pick-up logistics.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, focusing on customer retention and growth through securing contract renewals and identifying upselling opportunities.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve any service-related issues.

• Experience in route operations management or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
