Route Sales Support Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company step van in a designated area to provide products and service to clients.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
• Manage daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
• Load/unload product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads/prospects, call on prospective customers, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
• Assist the sales organization with procuring additional new business.
• Understand services, policies, and pricing methods and clearly explain them to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues promptly and courteously.
• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others; use safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with consistent customer contact.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and solve customer concerns quickly.

Physical Requirements

• Routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from truck without assistance.
• Occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs.
• Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions, including extreme hot/cold temperatures depending on geographical location.
• Fast-paced environment requiring irregular and long hours.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $23.77, depending on skills, qualifications, degrees, certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
