Local route-sales delivery driver position in Greensboro, NC and surrounding areas. Drivers transport dry ice, gel packs, and insulated containers for customer shipping and frozen needs. This is a daytime, local driving role with home every night.
Responsibilities
- Drive truck over established route to deliver and sell products or render services.
- Deliver CO₂ to customers’ homes or businesses; install CO₂ and perform maintenance.
- Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer receipts.
- Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
- Call on prospective customers to solicit new business.
- Inform regular customers of new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Collect or pick up empty containers.
- Load truck and issue or obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Clean inside of truck and schedule routine maintenance.
Requirements
- Class B CDL with a clear driving record and background check.
- At least three years of driving experience.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence.
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings.
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
- Apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Knowledge of order-processing systems.
