Route Relief Driver - Uniform

About the role

Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Route Relief Driver to join our team. This position involves driving and providing services to customers on designated routes within the community. We are looking for motivated drivers with strong sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company standards.
• Call on prospective customers to solicit new business.
• Inform regular customers about new products or services.
• Drive the truck to deliver laundry and/or uniforms to customer locations.
• Collect or pick up rejected or unsold laundry and/or uniforms.
• Load and unload the truck as needed.
• Develop and maintain customer goodwill through assistance, demonstration of interest, and courteous treatment.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally.
• Manage inventory according to company policies.
• Collect payments from customers, make change, and record transactions on invoices.
• Record delivery and inventory information on daily invoices.
• Clean the inside of the truck.
• Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
• Attend training and service department meetings.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of sales and customer service experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• The ability to operate a 26’ bobtail truck.
• Comfortable loading and unloading up to 50 lbs of linen daily.
• Pass drug test and clinic physical.

Pay

The pay rate is $26.80 per hour, with the starting pay based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment. The average total annual compensation for the Route Sales and Service Representative position is over $80K, with potential for higher earnings.
