About the role

The Route Merchandiser-OCS is responsible for maintaining established pantry locations. This position involves merchandising products, interacting with high-profile customers, and ensuring proper inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain established inventory levels for all products, including soft drinks, pre-packaged food, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, fruits, vegetables, candy, pastry snack items, and hot and cold beverages.
  • Mercandise products according to pantry/office coffee layouts.
  • Gather and report customer feedback.
  • Count, record, and follow ordering protocol for inventory.
  • Restock shelves, coolers, and coffee.
  • Follow protocols for inventory tracking and rotating products.
  • Collect and record out-of-date or rejected merchandise.
  • Review inventory requirements to identify what products are needed for each pantry location on a predetermined schedule.
  • Works closely with the warehouse and partnering delivery team members to ensure all products are ready for delivery.
  • Load and unload products using proper safety protocols to prevent injury.
  • Drive vehicle to points of sale to deliver merchandise.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with management regarding account product changes and recommended scheduling changes.
  • Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of all perishable items during transit and while stocking products.
  • Ensure coolers maintain appropriate temperatures to store products.
  • Perform routine cleaning, including coffee machines, microwaves, coolers, racks, shelves, tables, counter tops, floors, and windows, in and around each point of sale.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prioritize passing a DOT test.
  • Must have prior retail experience and familiarity with basic merchandising concepts (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Chauffeurs license.
