ROUTE DRIVER - UTILITY (FULL TIME)

About the role

Canteen is hiring a full-time ROUTE DRIVER UTILITY position. The role is located at Canteen - 12640 Knott Street, Garden Grove, CA 92841. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Further details will be provided during the interview.

Responsibilities

• Services a particular route or location during the absence of the regular route or warehouse employee.
• Makes sure Customer Service Managers open and close the operation and train new route service personnel.
• Drives the company-owned truck to deliver soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries to customers' places of business.
• Places stock in vending machines, collects stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise, collects money from machines, refills bill and coin changers, records transactions, and is accountable for cash and product.
• Contacts existing customers to assess the adequacy of service, informs regular customers about new products and services, and listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Selects items from the warehouse and loads the truck; prepares order forms for food and pastry products.
• Performs routine maintenance on and sanitizes machines; sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment; performs the job safely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
