ROUTE DRIVER - UTILITY (FULL TIME)
About the Role
Canteen is hiring immediately for a full time Route Driver - Utility position located at 655 Capital Drive Southwest, Suite 100, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402. This role drives a company-owned truck over an established route to deliver and sell products or render services, collects money from machines, and makes change.
Schedule
Full time schedule. Sunday through Thursday; hours may vary. Further details upon interview.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Previous experience is not necessary; willing to train

Pay
Fixed Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available. All Canteen driving roles may include commission eligibility.

Responsibilities
- Service a particular route or location during the absence of the regular route or warehouse employee
- Assist Customer Service Managers with daily opening and closing of the operation, and training of new route service personnel
- Drive truck to deliver items such as soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items and sundries to customer's place of business
- Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines; collect stale, rejected or unsold merchandise
- Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers
- Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device; accountable for cash and product
- Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service; inform regular customers of new products and/or services; listen to and resolve service complaints
- Select items from warehouse and load truck; prepare order forms for food and pastry products
- Perform routine maintenance on and sanitation of machines
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers
- Maintain clean and safe work environment; perform job safely
- Perform other duties as assigned
