ROUTE DRIVER - SMARTSERVICE (FULL TIME)
About the role
Canteen is hiring immediate full-time ROUTE DRIVER - SMARTSERVICE positions at Canteen - 4801 Hannover Place, Fremont, CA 94538. Online applications are accepted only. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a training schedule. After training, hours may vary. More details available upon interview.
Responsibilities
- Prior to each day’s route, ensure the truck is properly loaded with all required product following outlined operational procedures.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and distribute product to vending machines.
- Load hand carts with totes of product, walk to machines, and load them. Return to truck with empty totes.
- Perform product rotation to ensure freshness at designated client locations.
- Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
- Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and other related equipment.
- Conduct minor service and adjustments on machines when necessary.
- Report defective equipment to maintenance repair service operators or technician dispatchers.
- Enter accurate machine product and inventory data via a handheld computer.
- Inform regular clients and customers about new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints; report all to immediate supervisor.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays, or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
- Accountable for all receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and product.
- Conduct inventory reconciliation in accordance with established procedures.
- Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years driving experience required.
- Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
- Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
