Route Driver

Job Summary

The Bone Route Driver operates a Fat and Bone collection vehicle to remove raw material from multiple customer locations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Collects and inspects raw material at time of pick-up for any foreign or hazardous material at customer location.
• Provides customer with a receipt of pick-up containing the weight of the product and the signature of management at the location.
• Maintains company vehicle in the cleanest possible condition; operates vehicle according to company, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintains a DOT log book as needed.
• Ensures excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.
• Fulfills all company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma is preferred.
• Prior route experience is preferred.
• Experience with truck hydraulics is a plus.
• Communicates clearly in both verbal and written forms.
• Highly organized; possesses superior time management skills.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.

Physical Demands

• Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Occasionally push, pull, up to 100 lbs.
• Occasionally lift up to 80 lbs.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location, customer locations, and company vehicle.
