Route Delivery Truck Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a CDL-A Local Delivery Driver to join our team at Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company. This role involves delivering food products to local customers on scheduled routes, ensuring safe and timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to local customers on scheduled routes
• Unload products and place them in designated areas
• Complete deliveries safely and on time
• Interact with customers professionally
• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
• Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
• Unload products, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform damage control checks
• Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Collect money (cash or checks) where required
• Load customer returns onto trailer and secure trailer doors
• Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log
• Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and trailers

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Safe driving record
• Ability to handle touch freight (unloading required)
• Strong customer service mindset
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 6+ months of Tractor/Trailer experience
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years
• Pass road test
• Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card
• Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 6+ months of Tractor/Trailer experience
• Valid CDL-A
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)

Pay

$1,500 - $1,900+ per week (avg. $80K - $100K+ annually)

Schedule

Monday - Friday | Dispatch between 3:00am - 5:00am | Home Nightly & Weekends Off
