Route Based Driver

About the role

As a Service Technician, you will operate a company service truck and drive to various locations to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and/or holding tanks. This position is central to our business, ensuring a seamless and reliable experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements.
• Conduct all work duties safely in compliance with USS and DOT safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/pushing between 50 and 150 lbs. frequently during the work shift.
• Service portable toilets to USS’s 8-point service standard.
• Engage in customer service interactions on-site to ensure services meet customer standards.
• Adjust routes flexibly to meet customer needs and provide feedback to operations management for efficiency and service improvements.
• Strategically plan for customer needs by discussing portable toilet requirements to satisfy current and future demands.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid Driver License (CDL or non-commercial).
• Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
• Use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Perform repetitive movements.
• See details of objects both near and at a distance.
• Speak clearly and understand others’ speech.
• Hear and distinguish sounds.
• Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion.
• Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. from waist to shoulders and 30 lbs. from floor to head.
• Crouch and squat.
• Push and pull 100 lbs. horizontally.

Pay

Salary Range: $20.42 – $27.57 per hour.
