About the role

Work under the direction of the Crane Operator to support ongoing rig operations. Assist in handling freight to or from helicopters and boats. Implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements. Perform general housekeeping duties and material preservation activities. Assist other personnel as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of all training requirements for the position

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crane Operator with the loading and unloading of supplies
• Assist in rig maintenance such as chipping, scraping, painting, scrubbing, and cleaning
• Be familiar with company paint specifications and procedures for use and care
• Relieve on the drill floor as required to gain experience for promotion
• Flag Crane Operator during lifts, install tag lines to prevent accidents, interferences, and/or damage
• Maintain a neat and orderly paint locker; ensure all containers are sealed and combustible materials are properly stored
• Assist in keeping the deck of the rig free of unnecessary tools and equipment
• Assist in maintaining the general appearance of the drilling rig
• Participate in the development of newly appointed team members
• Assist the Helicopter Landing Officer during helideck operations
• Assist the Welder as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Implement and uphold Noble's safety policies and procedures
• Ensure all operations proceed in a safe manner; correct and notify responsible parties of any unsafe acts and/or conditions
• Encourage and motivate personnel to observe safety and environmental policies
• Familiarize and adhere to Noble's Live Safe Code to promote a zero-incident and no-harm workplace
• Utilize Noble's Hazard Identification Tool to manage risk from various energy sources in the workplace
• Attend and actively participate in daily pre-tour and weekly safety meetings
• Ensure compliance with Noble's Management System requirements
• Initiate a safety stand down whenever an unplanned hazard or unexpected result is observed
• Perform all Safety Critical Tasks as detailed in the HSE Case
• Incorporate the STOP the job planning process into all tasks, whether working alone or as part of a team
• Take initiative to perform emergency duties without specific orders or instruction
• Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis and prepare hazard assessments as required
• Ensure compliance with all government regulations
