How You’ll Make a Difference – The Viking Way
- Support customers and front-line operations
- Provide backup teller coverage during peak times and scheduled absences
- Process transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
- Balance cash drawer and assist with end-of-day procedures
- Deliver a positive, professional customer experience
- Follow bank policies and procedures related to identification, fraud prevention, and compliance
- Aid in finance and accounting functions
- Support accounts payable processing and invoice tracking
- Aid in monthly close activities and account reconciliations
- Contribute to financial reporting and general ledger support activities
- Provide operational and administrative support
- Process daily mail and assist with document organization and filing
- Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Support operational tasks that help maintain efficient workflow across the Bank
- Collaborate, adapt, and grow across teams
- Shift responsibilities based on business priorities and staffing needs
- Build relationships across all areas of the Bank
- Contribute wherever support is needed to keep operations running smoothly
Training & Development
- Teller operations and cash handling
- Financial and accounting fundamentals
- Bank regulatory and compliance training (including BSA)
- Cross-training across multiple departments
- Exposure to AI tools and emerging technologies to support productivity, research, and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong computer skills with comfort learning new tools; experience with AI tools or certifications a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and curiosity to learn across multiple areas
