Purpose

This program outlines a framework for the creation and maintenance of processes to develop early-career engineers through three primary stages: internships, post-graduation internal placement, and rotational assignments.

Rotational Assignments

The rotational program lasts a maximum of 3 years, with the option to off-ramp sooner. Key details include:

  • Year 1: Field-based operations role, working in at least two different departments (e.g., Operations, Operations Engineering, or DTO organizations).
  • Year 2: Rotation to the E&C organization, working in at least two different groups within E&C, coordinated by HR and reviewed by the Executive Steering Committee (ESC).
  • Year 3: 2-month turns in Commercial and Finance, followed by the option to secure a full-time position or spend the remainder of the year in another group within E&C or Operations.
  • Engineers may off-ramp after 2 years and 4 months if a full-time position is secured.
  • Promotion from Associate to Engineer is expected after completing the full 3-year program.

General Points

  • Engineers are expected to be productive contributors during each assignment, not just trainees.
  • The ESC, comprising SVPs from E&C and Operations, oversees the program.
  • Engineers should apply for internal positions toward the end of the program; HR assists with placement if needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience levels:
    • Associate Engineer: 0-3 years
    • Engineer: 3-6 years
    • Sr. Engineer: 6-10 years
    • Staff Engineer: 10+ years
  • Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors in inclement weather.
  • 24/7 on-call availability for emergency response.
