Job Description Summary GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our Rotating Parts Lab in Evendale, OH. This is a hands-on, shop-floor-focused role supporting the manufacturing of complex rotating parts with a focus on turning and milling. In this position, you will own a defined portion of project work and be directly involved in fixture design, process layout, machine programming, and hardware execution, while developing and implementing manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems close to the hardware, and can work both collaboratively and independently to drive results. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Lead manufacturing engineering efforts for complex rotating hardware with a focus on milling and turningOwn a defined portion of project work, driving execution from planning through hardware deliveryDevelop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC)Design and refine fixtures, tooling, and process layouts to support safe, repeatable, high-quality machiningCreate, run, and troubleshoot machine programs and support hands-on shop-floor executionWork directly with hardware in a lab and manufacturing environment, partnering with operators, machinists, quality, and engineering teamsSolve technical manufacturing issues and drive process improvements using sound engineering judgmentProvide informal guidance to less experienced team members and contribute to team execution Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing engineering experience)Minimum of 3 years manufacturing engineering experience Preferred Qualifications Experience working with complex rotating partsAerospace and/or power generation manufacturing experienceExperience with complex milling and turning of aerospace materialsHands-on experience with fixture design, tooling, and process developmentExperience running and programming machinesExperience machining titanium, nickel-based alloys, and other exotic materialsNX CAD/CAM experience Desired Characteristics Strong problem solver with the ability to analyze issues, challenge existing processes, and implement practical solutionsSelf-directed and comfortable owning work independently while contributing effectively within a teamClear communicator with strong collaboration and decision-making skillsHumble, receptive, agile, and eager to learnTransparent and candid in sharing information and surfacing issues earlyFocused, adaptable, and able to prioritize effectively in a hands-on technical environment GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
