Acuren is recruiting for Rope Access Advanced NDT Technicians to support operations in Corpus Christi, TX.

Responsibilities

• Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders.
• Be conversant with relevant work techniques and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques.
• Demonstrate all skills and knowledge required of Level III and assist other technicians as needed.
• Ensure operational safety of all equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods (e.g., UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR).
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, adhering strictly to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Identify, track, manage, and mitigate risk on client engagements; escalate issues to minimize impact on quality, budget, and timeline.
• Review asset documentation and operational data, including inspection data, monitoring, and auditing associated NDE activities.
• Complete integrity assessments, including physical site walkdowns when required.
• Prepare project reports including descriptions of work done, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Perform specialized inspections and develop techniques for approval by customer certifying agents.
• Instruct and supervise others as needed.
• Other work duties as assigned.

Extensive knowledge of ASME and API requirements and procedures pertaining to equipment evaluation for continued serviceability is required. Knowledge of industry health and safety policies and procedures, ability to interface with customers regarding schedules and problem-solving, and proficiency with applicable software and computer-related equipment are essential.

Requirements

• IRATA Level 3 Certification required.
• Thorough understanding of rope access applications, including theory, equipment, rigging, maneuvers, climbing, hauling, and advanced rescue techniques.
• Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician in various industrial environments.
• Technical background in NDT methods (e.g., UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR) with five years of experience.
• Current NDT certifications in relevant methods (e.g., UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR).
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment and multi-certification in RT/MT/PT/UT/PMI or VT is a strong asset.
• Current first aid certification.
• Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions.
• Local to Corpus Christi, TX or surrounding area.
