Overview

Offer superior customer service while accurately taking Room Service orders.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer room service calls, announce specials, promote menu items, and answer questions about preparation methods.
• Document orders, repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy, and quote expected arrival time with speed and precision.
• Immediately input order information into the point-of-sale system, allowing kitchen staff to begin preparation; note any special requests clearly.
• Provide food servers with a hard copy of the check to be delivered with the order.
• Respond to guest complaints positively, negotiate compromises, and implement solutions.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
• Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard to input Point of Sale procedures, including pre-check, order input, and check close-out.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences (e.g., supervisors, coworkers, public).

Pay

Salary Range: $14.00 hourly. This role is not tipped or eligible for discretionary performance bonuses.
