About the role

Provide friendly, courteous service to guests while cleaning guest rooms in your assigned area, ensuring all evidence of previous guests is removed. Maintain a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Clean rooms according to department guidelines and procedures.
  • Complete turn-down service as assigned.
  • Obtain cleaning supplies from the supply room and room assignments via computer printout.
  • Sign for keys at the start of shift and return them at the end, along with supplies and assignment sheets.
  • Empty vacuum cleaner bags daily.
  • Turn in items found in guest halls or left in check-out rooms promptly.
  • Replace bed linens and towels, restock hotel food and beverages, and keep hallways clean.
  • Report room vacancy status and maintain high hygiene standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Address guest queries and special requests.
  • Support the maintenance team by reporting broken, defective, or missing items.
  • Remove soiled linen from guest rooms.
  • Perform duties involving cleaning chemicals and equipment, including carpet and floor care.
  • Follow safety and security procedures, including Blood Borne Pathogens and Personal Protective Equipment guidelines.
  • Identify and report safety concerns or maintenance deficiencies.
  • Adhere to departmental and company policies.
  • Report all needles, blood, and other bodily fluids to a supervisor.
  • Operate equipment such as vacuum cleaners, radios, phones, mops, and brooms.
  • Push up to 50 pounds daily for the duration of the shift.
  • Complete assignments within the projected timeframe, averaging 13–17 credits daily.
  • Abide by leadership feedback and correct discrepancies in assignments.
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Casino or hotel experience preferred; upscale hotel experience a plus.
  • Prior experience as a Room Attendant preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain consistent, high-quality service levels.
  • Schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with coworkers.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift.
  • Receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff.
  • Remain alert throughout the shift and calm during emergencies.
  • Uphold the highest level of integrity and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Work in cold and hot temperatures and possible exposure to secondhand smoke.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, ascend, and descend stairs.
  • Maintain equilibrium for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working.
  • Handle sensitive staff and guest situations in a timely manner.

Pay

$16.25 per hour.
