The Room Attendant will also assist guests with any tasks relating to the functionality of their guest rooms and related equipment. Other duties will be assigned as needed. Beauport Hospitality Group encourages and expects all associates to develop the skills necessary to provide exceptional service both in and outside of their primary department. It is necessary that associates have the ability to multi-task and deliver outstanding service outside of their primary responsibilities listed on their job description. This is a part-time position. The schedule for the role is 8am-4pm, and Sunday is required. Experience Must have at least one (1) or more years of cleaning experience, preferably in a Hospitality environment. Essential Functions Report for morning meetings, daily task assignments, room assignments and special projects.Collect daily paperwork and any information regarding guest requests, to-do items, and an accurate list of check-ins and outs for the day.Clean all guestrooms in accordance with the standards and policies of the Beauport Hotel. Inform housekeeping supervisor upon completion of your duties, to ensure and verify that the room is check-in ready.Maintain cart inventory, while organizing all items to ensure the cart is fully stocked for guest room service.Replace any directories, tv guides, stationary, and room information cards, etc. that are bent, torn or stainedInform housekeeping supervisor of any stains, missing items, or any cause for additional guest charges to the roomFollow the lost & found procedure, communicating all personal guest items left in room immediately.Ensure all guest room floors and hallways are cleaned.Report room service trays to Room Service staff.Verify all items in the room are in good working condition, notifying the Supervisor of any Maintenance related issues.Adhere to all Bloodborne Pathogen procedures and Safety precautions in regards to handling hygienic items and guests’ personal productsCheck laundry area to ensure adequate supplies of linens are washed, folded and ready for use.Maintain storage closets, to be kept cleaned and organized at all times.Adhere to security procedures for the handling of guest room and master keys.Clean and organize the housekeeping area at the end of each shift, respectfully setting up the next shift for success.Complete other projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager/Supervisor. Experience And Skills JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for 8’ hours length of time.Ability to walk/stand approximately 90% of shift.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.Flexible availability, to include, nights, weekends and holidays.Requires good communication; both verbal and written.Must be able to show initiative, anticipating guest or operational needs.Ability to communicate effectively in the English Language. A second language is desirable.Ability to practice and adhere to all safety requirements.Salary range is $15-$16.50/hr WORKING ENVIRONMENT Interior and exterior of hotel, primarily guest rooms, public space, and lobby area, with some exposure to sun, heat, cold and changing weather conditions.
